Vintage Vanheste Road Bike Restoration Subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/c/BikeItUKonYouTube How to Clean a Vintage Bike Frame https://youtu.be/z_I5v5FwHCk The cycle is stripped, cleaned, restored and assembled before the Bike is taking for a ride on the open road. This Bike Restoration was a pleasure to work on and great to find out a little bit of history about the Vanheste name. The cycle came in with straight handle bars and needed a bit of of cleaning it really turned out like a new bike! What greener way to get about than on a restored Vintage Vanheste Road Bike. Hi Andy, Merry Xmas from The Peak District. What's the rule on setting up the bar angle on vintage drops and positioning Weinmann levers? Can't get it right. There's Velo a Rule 46 but makes no sense! Keep up the hard work!

How do you color match for the touch up paint?

Hey Andy, great restoration as always. Is it just me or are the "n" and "h" in the Vanheste lettering on the downtube look just a little rough on the edges next to each other? It's probably tough to restore damaged decals like this.
I have a GT Forte Titanium road bike from the 1990's and all of the decals on the frame are really scraped up and rough looking with many pieces missing. I tried contacting a guy on Ebay who advertised to specialize in recreating decals but he never seemed to be able to reliably reply to my questions about remaking the Forte ones for my bike so I finally gave up on that. I did investigate having an artist airbrush the lettering back on but was not sure of the quality. -
can you sucsribe to me

How do you match color on your touch ups ? Good job.

I've always wondered if you mix the paint you use yourself or do you just try to get the color to match as close as you can with premixed paint? Thanks.

Any recomendations on where to get vintage style wheels for bicycles in the UK? I'm restoring a Dawes Galaxy and need a new wheelset but can't seem to find any that catch my eye. Thanks
