you didn't show how easy it is to wheel around when folded.
I have a citizen bike and when I fold mine, I leave the seat up and push it through the crowds at the train station, either to my next train or bus. once I clear the station, I unfold my bike and away I go.
I like this bike, I tried to fold it up as I would for a commute, but the way it folded, was different than mine and the wheels were uneven, for rolling. I was hoping you would show the whole thing for commuting not just storage and carry. -
Music is annoying but cool bike, I bet its very expensive :((

BROMPTON

Do you ever do comparisons by price bracket? There are so many options out there. I look at one and its around $400, I look at another and its $1700. Thanks!

Thank you for your educational sales videos Jack! Is the Eclipse S11i (or indeed any of the Tern line) a suitable choice for the following circumstances...
A. Travel internationally a lot by bus and plane (in economy),
B. Most biking in 3rd world rural areas and light traffic provincial towns, very rarely in New York/Tokyo type metropoli
C. Daily use commuting -10 kilometres plus weekend touring and ocassional overnight trips
D. Owner has poor mechanical skills.
My priorities are in this order....
I/1. Easy maintenance,
I/2. Compact when packed and transported,
I/3. Lightweight ditto,
1/4. Comfortable,
I/5. Parts/service availability in Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam etc (beyond usual problem parts of which I will stock up),
II/1. Versatile (can add bags etc),
III/1. Good value,
III/2. What is not important to me is: sexy design, 'performance'(speed etc), easy riding (a little struggle is OK as long as doesn't give a backache to an old man), price (picetag isn't important if it is worth it and under USD2000) -

I just see a pretty bike, anything else. Prefer my Brompton.

Yes, there is a device call the biologic reecharge which can be hooked up with a dyno to power mobiles - Jack

Yes I believe so, although Dahon also has factories in China (Dahon China), one in the Czech Republic, and one in Macau. - jack

Wow, he does look like Jimmy doesn't he... - Jack

Such an impressive bike, just took a test ride on the eclipse a few days ago and was pretty floored, the rapid fire shifters, high quality components, disc brakes, really a great package. Thanks for watching, should have a few new vids coming up - Jack

Good video and great bike. This vid made me want the one..

Yep, I think you would be fine. -Miles

It is a seriously smooth ride, though. Really the creme de la creme of folding commuters. -Miles

ridiculous price tag!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
These are additional features, but in general the S11i has much more expensive high quality components that will make for a better ride overall. - Jack

I'm pretty sure it's some kind of Tamrac Slingshot.

Is the S11i really worth the price compared to the P9? $1200 extra seems like a lot for internal hub gearing, slightly increased gear range, the dynamo, and a light. I do realize that there are some other features, but those seem to be the main ones, unless I'm missing something.
