Sondors Indiegogo Electric Bike Video Review

http://electricbikereview.com/sondors/indiegogo-ebike/ The Sondors Ebike was originally called the Storm Electric Bike and was launched through Indiegogo in early 2015. It’s a crowdfunded electric fat bike designed to be affordable and simple, available in four colors, single speed drivetrain with throttle only. It offers limited power for climbing, sand and snow applications because the motor is mid-sized at 350 watts, optimal use would be urban or trail riding. You can add a fender and rack thanks to threaded eyelets on the rear section of the frame but you cannot add a gear cluster or internally geared hub, consider a Schlumpf gear or Efneo at the bottom bracket if you want to change your cadence range. This bike comes with a limited 30 day warranty, lower end components (brakes, saddle, wheelset), more involved assembly required than other ebikes I've built.

We're you using a DJI Osmo to film this?

If there's some small hills where you live, will using the pedal assist work the same as full electric or will it be easier?P.S. I love your videos yu actually know what you are doing unlike most people!

Pretty good reviews from EBR. Really gives you a feel for what you are getting into. Thanks EBR! This bike is pretty awesome for the price. I have seen a few e bikes that where in the $3000 range that felt and looked very similar. This bike does have peddle assist built in and also has the throttle. As of just recently, all the bikes sold by Sondors comes with the LCD screen. This gives you 5 levels of assist. I personally bought two fat boys and couldn't be happier. One for me, and one for my wife. We love the range an e bike gives you while still getting a work out. Plus after several knee surgeries, hard core riding is a thing of the past.

So did your bike really come with out peddle assist?

are there any other budget ebikes that you'd reccomend in this or possibly a larger/stronger form factor? I ask as a heavier dude who wants to get back into biking but i'm having the issue of range. i'm hoping an ebike can help break things up and make going longer distances alot easier. know of any decent bikes under 1000? and what would you say the weight limit on this bike is?

Are these fine in rain?

What if your 6 feet and 225 pounds

I've ordered mine in August 2016 and they said they would send me on late September. I've just received an e-mail from Sondors saying that they will only deliver it in November... So, buyers beware, they may take much longer to deliver than they actually indicate...

Can someone tell me how to enable the throttle to be used without PAS having to be used on a C600 Display. Right now I have to use the 4mph cruise control button to start off or use the PAS

While the weight is important as is the bike in general on an ebike performance and range are what you are paying for. Why in the world did you basically blow off a range test?
Cut 10 minutes of screwing around and do a range test then you can call it a review. -
The advertising was a lie. 45 vs 60 pounds is huge. And it does make a difference. For someone that may need to bring it inside up stairs 45 is heavy, 60 is a tank.
It was to have hydraulic brakes another lie, you say the rotors are smaller another lie. The range was changed and appears lower than the lowered range.
I guess not having QR hubs isn't a big deal as no one could toss this beast in a car anyway and you can't carry it far, so the wheels need to be on the thing.
A single speed monster tank that no one would pedal, God help you if you run out of juice.
Sure it's cheap for an ebike. But it's doesn't give Storm the right to lie about the product.
This is just a dude ordering a large lot of a made to order bike off of Ali Babba and selling it here.
In all it is what it is. A heavy very basic e-bike. Most cost a lot more, but offer more. -
Sondors offers a display for this bike which allows you to select levels of assist. I'm thinking since your bike doesn't have one your sensor wire remained disconected and assist levels non operable. What do you think or know about this?
