schwalbe marathon supreme - after 16600 km

i ran this tyres mostly in city and ocasionaly in forests and offroads. This tyres are great. I've made a few flats (10 or more) but none beceause of glass shards, only with nails and some spikes from a plant (i do not know the name of that plant). The tyres have minimal roling resistance, are very good against glass shards and they are very adherent in all conditions.

I have a cannondale trail 6 2012 model. It has the Kenda small block eight tires 26x2.10. So i wanted to upgrade to these tires keeping in mind that it will increase my speed.
I was planning to buy the Schwalbe marathon supreme tires 26x2 ... Wanted to ask will they fit my bike without any issue ? I don't have too much idea about bikes.
It's not avilable in India so i have to import it from the US so incase of any wrong size i will be screwed.
I was planning to get it wiggle.cm
Awaiting your reply ... -
on theese tires there isnt any information witch way they should roll, are the way they are fitted on the video the right way? I`m confused

30 eur per tire... but now i dont mind, you made me buying them ;) Even if they last only 10k im ok with it :) I have just needed something fast on road which can take some km offroad (dont care if unsable, just dont like to puncture on piece of sand)

My commute to work is only 2,2 km but I'm passing subway which is full of glass flints, so there's no week without puncture, I ride on kenda k-rad 2.3 they seem to be puncture magnet. Would you recommend me marathons?

What bike do you ride? A hardtail mtb?

hi muvoto. i have these tyres from 12.jun.2010. as i've already told, i ran them mostly in city and outside city on public roads wich are paved with concrete. those cuts on their surface are caused by glass shards. as for the flats.. i've had a few flats but all of them with metalic spikes like nails and piece of metals. no glass shard could penetrate the tyres. but the most deadly weapon for these tyres was a plant with spikes. when i enter the grass 8 or 9 flats i've had on each tyre. the spikes of that pland was very hard and very thin lucky for me i've had spare tubes with me because i was at the border. anyway as you can see from the video the thread of the tyre are like in the first day (same depth). i live in europe - romania. in summer time temperature reaches evem 40 degrees in direct sunlight. the thing that broke to the tyre was the inner armour wich holds the tyre. i am looking forward to see how long will last the front tyre wich is same type. perhaps the roads on you are running your tyres area cleaner and perhaps you are right about scwalbe reducing the quality.

I am curious for one reason - I have the same model 26x2.0 but even older than yours - mine are 2007 model and purchased in early 2008. They have Vectran protection belt (2 punctures so far). Good traction in wet. In 2008 I've made a 6300km tour in Europe with ca. 40kg bike/loaded on these, very pleased. Now (October 2013) they have 15700km on them and look much much better than yours so maybe this proves my theory that Schwalbe want to sell more by lowering quality of newer versions:( Thanks

Hi, nice video, how old are your tires, I guess you have the 2009 or 2010 model since I see the Ceramic Guard logo on them? The rubber compound looks totally decomposing itself which really surprises me a lot, what country you rode them in, maybe to much salt on streets or too much sun on the tires or extreme temperature amplitudes but in less then 5 years and of course 16600 km which is a lot they look terrible :)) How many punctures you had for this time? I will write second question. Thanks

2.0 - they are fast indeed and good traction but you need to try them to see exactly how they are. anyway i am very pleased with them.

What width is that 1.6" ? Are they as fast as simular slicks and semi slicks in the same size ? Do they have very good traction on poor roads, I live in wales and we only have bad roads here lol.
