WAIT a minute, there are dots on the ground for blind people in Japan!? That's a brilliant idea. I have never once seen dots on the ground here in California.
-
"Hey Simon, remember that time you bumped into that blind guy?" Martina is so savage XD You reap what you sow XD

My housemate is from the LA area of California and came to college in Michigan, and she loves to tell us how much she misses earthquakes. I guess it's a nostalgia thing for her at this point. I'm from Ohio where there are no earthquakes and even the idea of one is terrifying! Hope you guys get used to them!

Simon never ate the watermelon juice!
-
I was super shocked experiencing my first earthquake in Japan but after that it just became meh... lol

Lots of little earthquakes are good! After the 2011 christchurch one (about a week before the big japanese one) we had earthquakes so frequently every day. My dad's a geologist and when you live on THE RING OF FIRE! (japan and new zealand brofist each other) frequent small ones mean that the pressure is being released. I also figure, if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen shrug

I think the negligence toward earthquakes in Japan, I am not saying that Japan does not care about earthquakes, instead they take it seriously, is like Koreans do not worry too much about North Koreans threats about war and nuclear bomb because they heard it so many times and they know it is not going to happen unless they want to die together

Are electric bikes available in Japan? That could be a great option for you.
-
Wheymen, brother! May Brodin bless you with mighty gainz!

How are you going to use your Weights during the Rainy and Snowy Season?

I honestly think it's adorable that you guys are nervous about earthquakes. 😊 I'm from Southern California and we had a huge earthquake (to me) in '94 Northridge where we had freeways fall apart and fall half off and I've had coworkers come from the east coast with earthquake preparedness kits the first day I met them, it was SO cute because when I go to the east coast I have like down jackets and I'm prepared for blizzards and they're like "uh.....what're you wearing" haha and it's like 40 outside and I'm bundled

Simon- I had the same thing happen to me in a train station in Sapporo. I was talking with some people and standing on that yellow spot and as I was laughing I stepped back in such a way to smash right into a blind guy :/ I felt so bad! He kept apologizing to ME! I felt like such a terrible person! Especially because EVERYONE saw it...I know exactly how you feel!!!!

Having grown up in California, earthquakes to me are so much easier to deal with then like tornadoes and hurricanes. An earthquake can't pick up me or my house and throw it across the city lol
But honestly, if you live in a first world nation with strict building codes, there's nothing to worry about. Like, the house won't fall in on you. Furniture might fall, but just stand in a door way if it gets bad. Idk, they just don't bother me. The only deaths I've heard reported during earthquakes are older folk having heart attacks because they get scared, and this one guy that freaked and ran into traffic. You're psyching yourself out and causing more damage then the earthquake itself.
