How I made enough to buy a CAR with my YouTube channel! http://buff.ly/1PKdcnk KTM RC8 R new owner impression. This is the full video going over the features and feedback from a new owner. Anywhere you see superbikes you see a Honda Suzuki Kawasaki Yamaha and every once in a while you might see something different like perhaps a KTM RC8R. The new kid on the block that says to Japanese manufacturers, watch out! First let's go to the features 173 HP, six speed transmission. Dry sump lubrication, liquid cooled wet multidisc clutch, light tubular lattice frame of high-strength chrome-molybdenum steel. 320 mm discs in the front and twin disc brake system. In the rear 220 mm brakes single disc brakes with two piston brakes. The bike weighs 405.6 pounds with no fuel. KTM said " pulled out all the stops in the art of engine building when it came to the 1190 RC8 R 2013. The rider has one of the most powerful V2 engines of our times and one of the best chassis in the world at his or her disposal - totally street-legal. With the precision to cut out the others when entering the corner. With the power and traction to pull away from them exiting the corner. With the feedback and ergonomics to enjoy the 1190 RC8 R 2013 to the full.". I have not had a chance to ride the motorcycle on the racetrack yet so I can't say much but I can say it pulls pretty strongly from 3000 RPMs. That is what you get with v twin torque! New owner talks about his bike: "You know when I first saw it I fell in love. I just couldn't believe it. Unlike say it is the ZX10 or the BMW this is not a top end bike. It's very fun to ride Around the street. Very low-end torque. It's a twin two cylinder so it's not like your typical inline 4. One of the best handling bikes I've ridden. Probably the best brakes that I have used on a sport bike. I used to ride a 09 Kawasaki ZX 10 and it was great bike don't get me wrong, but actually this bike handles and brakes better than the 09. You can't just base the bike on the styling although some people do I want to make sure that I was comfortable on the bike. Unlike other sport bikes a lot of things are adjustable on this bike. Handlebars the pegs, the swingarm" So what's my take on the KTM RC8 R? Well not quite convinced just yet. Definitely peaked my interest because of the torque but the fact that looks great and is adjustable is not enough for me to justify the cost. When I buy a sports bike or when I buy a sports car what I'm buying it excitement! I try to match up the level of excitement that the vehicle is going to deliver with the costs. Right now based on what I've seen so far I don't have enough experience yet to see if this bike delivers excitement to match the cost. I will try to get a KTM RC8 R on the racetrack to give you my feedback of the bike. KTM for sure made quite an impressive entry into superbike market but I will need my own personal experience to see if this bike delivers on the promise!
