I've been riding this bike from when it was released. The only changes I've done have been for bike fit (Cutting the bars, lower the stem etc.) and I run a 32 tooth single ring up front. Love it! Many f my friends have bought similar style bikes from good manufactures. They paid more for their bikes and some have had frame failures. Some just had lower end components causing additional cost for upgrades.

Well, I bought the bike after watching this video and I love the Kona Process 134DL. Bought it from Wiggle and got a local bike mechanic to set it up for me. It has taken me to a different world from my hard tail. Love the dropper post and as I don't have anything to compare it to, I love the rear suspension. Yes, I admit the dog secured my decision. Love the dog!
Would but another Kona. -
is this one a 26er?

Tried to demo this bike in Vermont but all their 134s were in Colorado. Burn? Anyway this video and other reviews has convinced me that this is a great bike that will last me a long time. Just bought the frame and am building it with SLX drive train, Shimano brakes, CC DB Air, Pike 150 and Industry 9 enduro wheelset. I can't wait till the snow melts. Then I am going to stop watching this videos. Thanks B of B for your great videos!

Blue Moon and Corona? Blehhhh

So... amateur XC raceable? And still can go down well enough? The climbing is the biggest thing for me but my kona XC bike can't go down for shit.

Honestly I rode this bike on a demo and I thought it was a complete dog. There must be brown envelopes going around for these guys to be praising this thing so highly, that's why they're all wearing shades. It still has a front derailleur and no narrow wide front ring on it, and a revelation not a Pike, it's just impossible.

that dog is so cute

Did he say 3600 quid?

Trek Remedy 8 with a 34mm front shock isn't better? Maybe more cushy but not as sport of a feel? Next year, I will be shopping these bike side by side here in AZ. Going to enjoy my Trek Stache 7 for a while though.

I have ridden Kona since '95, and can say they make some of the best geometry hands down. I just put in my order for a 2014 Cinder Cone, after riding Trek, Marin, Scott, and many others I still came back to the Kona. Where Kona might not be as "trendy" on their paint and style as say Specialized or Trek, they beat most bikes in balance and build quality. I admit Kona isn't for everyone, some may want something flashy that screams..look at me, I spent a lot of money.

I have been stuck for a while between this bike and a trek remedy 9. I'm looking for a enduro bike that really won't break the bank. If you could choose (or have any suggestions) which one?

Hi guys!
I really liked your review on the Kona Process 134 DL! Can you tell me the size of the frame you used during your tests runs? I am 6'2" and I am wondering if I should get the large or X-Large frame size!
Thank you! -
Bike has made me feel like a bomber when descending i.e. confidence inspiring... thing climbs decent enough also... brakes maybe a little underpowered (or am I just railing too quickly on it??) NB, non dl version 8/10

Been debating between the Kona Process and Trek Remedy. Live here in FL, so neither of these are stocked to demo or even sit on. Was just about to pull the trigger on the Remedy until I saw this. So, is the consensus here that the 2014 650b bike to go with in the 3k range is the Process?

The shock mentioned in the video to the one shown on the bike did not match up. The monarch plus has the piggy back oil reservoir like the float x does. The shock shown on the bike looked like a regular monarch rt3. Wondering if it was indeed a monarch plus if it would have performed better.
