How to vinyl wrap a mountain bike
biciclette recensioni | biciclette Video | biciclette on-line
This video edit shows how easy it is to vinyl wrap your mountain bike. It's a great way to protect your bike frame whether it's carbon fibre of aluminium, mountain bike or road bike. I used a kit from Invisiframe, who were really helpful and gave me lots of advice and encouragement before I started. The same method would work just as well with 3M tape, helicopter tape (heli tape), clearskin, bikeshield or any of the other frame protectors. The bike being wrapped is a YT Industries Capra cf pro race. A beautiful bike which looked exactly the same after the vinyl wrapping. The kit supplied a satin vinyl that matched the rest of the frame really well. Music - BoxCat_Games - Rolling

I just did my frame today! Great product and your video helped a lot. I found the squeegee too big though. I used a little one from a smartphone screen protector kit. It worked much better. It was smaller and had more give so it could curve a bit which was helpful since my bike is not flat.

Video makes it look easy. It's actually a right PITA. My advice is to not bother.

good job. how long did the whole process take and was it cheaper than getting a plasti or hydro dip?
-
well done:) good job my friends work of art !! so after all that time are you still recommending that product ?

Was this a matte or gloss vinyl kit?

Nice work by the way ....the bike looks awesome.
I have just one question: when or if the vinyl gets damaged, how easy it is to peel it off and reapply a new set ? does the adhesive allow you to do that, or is it stuck forever ? -
the vinyl was specially made for that frame.. :) am i right?

Worked a treat thanks. Some slight differences on my 2016 Capra though

Scott thanks for taking the time to do this video. I have just had a kit from invisiframe land through my letter box so its a great confidence builder. I just wish I had put this on before my 1st ride as I've got more cleaning to do now.

Hello, when you say the water/shampoo gave you loads of working time, do you mean you were able to reposition and slide the film on bike until it was where you wanted it. Or do you mean you were able to peel it off and reposition?
I feel like if i pursue this, I will mess it up lol! It'd be cool if you could lay it on and slide it about until its in the perfect position instead of having to peel and re-peel until its at the perfect angle before you lay it down. Thanks and great job! -
can i use every babyshampoo?

God I want your bike so bad 🙏🏻great video

Lame .. Looks ugly when it gets hit and dirt that is impossible to remove gets stuck in underneath. A full suspension bike is made to be used, and should look used. If you wrap it in vinyl, you're just a poser

i beleive the capra's come with a little bit of protection around cable rub area's. did you have to remove these so the invisframe kit would fit correctly?
-
Very nice video, thank you!
I have tried the procedure myself today and I must say it was really as easy as it looks in your video. But your tips helped me a lot. Took me 90 minutes to apply all the vinyl to my new CAPRA. -
wow nice mountain bike
