this is amazing. Appreciate this. Going to see about restoring my '87 Schwinn World Sport. Bless up!
-
Hi Andy! What is the grit number of the sandpaper you use?
-
what if the paint is very badly damaged from years of sitting in the sun and rain, along with rust starting to come through and chipping off the paint ?
-
Good work mate. In the US I use Loctite Naval Jelly rust remover (phosphoric acid) ... can be diluted to work in stages for delicate fittings. Excellent for bike restoration.
-
The rust product he uses is KURUST in case you couldn't quite hear it.

Really helpful thanks!

How do you manage to keep your hands clean ?
I always have black grease on my fingers. I stain everything I touch...

Hey, I'm a new subscriber. Question: what do you put inside the frame to avoid corrosion? What did you use after you washed it?
-
You should do a video how to restore old carbon frames like Look, trek ect
-
Love the videos and the music choice. Subbing I want to learn how to restore bikes as well. Are there any forums or communities online that help?
-
Nice job! btw, whats the music at 3:55?

I enjoy your videos very much. Where do you get your touch up paints? I am new to bicycle refurbishing and restoration, and it looks like the main sources for touch up paint here in the U.S. are Testors enamel paint or nail polish.
Thanks -
hi Andy, where are u based? I don't suppose you could give my old Peugeot a clean up? cheers
