How bout falling on your fucking head and not the rest of your body so we can trust it?
-
nice tool for a party-gag
-
I know a few girls that could benefit from this, while prancing along on normal walks.
-
Can't wait till hipsters start using these, they're gonna be so fun to hit!
-
And when you faceplant you can say god bye to your face, because nothing is protecting it from the hit!
Interesting thing, helmets are still used in sports, why not this gimmic?????
Airbag instead of a helmet, yeah if you don't want to live after a hit.
My money goes to a helmet, a great one at that price point and I will have spare for some wicked bikepark pass.!!!!! -
I dont like the collar but the concept it's brilliant.
What they should make now it's integrate this into a jacket. That would be much more confortable and minimalistic. It's the future, not only for cycling but for motorcyclists too! -
Trained stuntman. his head barely touches the ground.....
-
I wonder how efficient this is for long boarders!
-
As a bike rider with many head impacts in helmets i call bs on that 90% quote. Without link to study it's marketing BS.

How many times can you deploy the airbag before having to replace it?
-
pity his head dosent even touch the ground doing a stuntman roll so it dosent even show it working. lol
-
One for the Slo-mo guys!!
-
I wonder how loud this is compared to a normal airbag.
-
I'd like to see how helmet laws apply to this
-
What if you brake quickly? Wouldn't it also activate?
-
this will fail so much.
-
Send the slowmoguys a collar to test

The stunt man was anticipating the crash, there for was already in a tuck and roll motion BEFORE even striking the poll. I think that anyone who rides on a regular basis would tell you crashes happen much quicker than that... resulting in a front face impact or hard side impact without warning.Getting hit by a car for example. I'm curious if riding down a small set of stairs or mountain biking on not smooth terrain would set it off. Also what happens if it tears upon impact? Multiple head strikes ( faster speed causing the head to bounce more than one time.) I just get how they can claim its much safer than a properly fitted bicycle helmet. Where is the lab / safety testing? CE / EN1078 , CPSC, ASTM, AS/NZ rating? Anything before they make that claim?
