CHEAPEST SMART TRAINER BUNCH RIDE
biciclette recensioni | biciclette Video | biciclette on-line
Daily Lama EP60. I take the cheapest smart trainer for a spin on the largest Zwift bunch ride - the HDR. The Elite QUBO Digital Smart B+ unit holds up really well for automatic resistance changes. I'm growing fond of it - It's the little smart trainer that could! *UPDATE* Bluetooth fixed tonight. The trainer now has Bluetooth. I may have flashed the wrong firmware when I first plugged it in.... either way... all sorted now. Firmware should be 136. You can check this using the app "LightBlue" on IOS... or even the Wahoo Fitness app will scan/see/report details on it. Remember to connect Bluetooth first after powering up the QUBO. Does this Elite simulate climbing gradients and descending gradients?
-
I have a question how loud is the trainer. Thank you
-
Great review, thanks

Hi Shane, I bought a qubo Digital smart thanks to this video. I've been riding for 3 days straight on it and I love the experience. My only concern is that I see people flying by me on the hills, I know I am not a fast rider but this people seen to have unlocked the motorcycle. Is there a way to calibrate the Qubo? Are conventional trainers cheaters? thank you!
-
Do you prefer this one over the Cycleops Fluid 2?
Cheers!!! -
hi shane, can you teach how to upgrade firmware on this trainer, thanks
-
noisy as fuck.
-
Shane what can you tell me about the elite turbo muin B+.... have you test this out? what are the pros and cons? thank you awesome videos by the way
-
Just some information on the P1, P2 and P3 values for people who want to perform a manual calibration:
1. P1 refers to high slopes, P2 medium slopes, P3 flat
2. If the trainer brakes too much, increase the values; if it brakes too poorly, decrease the values
So, if you feel the trainer is too heavy at 0%, gradient (Flats) increase P3 (I suggest you increase it a little, like 10-20 points, then try again; if it is not enough, increase it again)
Remember at the end to select to "send the map to the trainer", so those values will work also for Zwift and TrainerRoad. -
Hello Shane, Would you prefer(suggest) buy a trainer tire for this trainer?
-
So I just picked up this trainer but don't have a power meter yet. What's the "Cheapest Power Meter" you'd recommend?
-
I was told a firmware was released and it corrects the watt output issue with Zwift. A great tech person at chainreactions sent me the pdf - Happy training

Good morning. Zwift is very good app. Whats the price of the bunch ride?
-
what is the app you use, does that come with the trainer or is that a extra thing you purchase, and where do you get that from
-
Shane, any update on the Bluetooth situation? I am not able to make it work with Zwift either.
-
That roller looks like a rubber/poly material. Is it a replacable consumable?

Hello Shane, I'm very interested in a Zwift Program and what Smart trainer to purchase. I saw this video and was about to purchase the Elite Qubo when I saw this video from Performance Bike. If you watch the video at the 1:00 minute mark they say the trainer transmits information to Zwift, but the trainer will NOT adjust your load tension (hill simulation) . My question does it adjust or not, confused ? Here is the link I'm talking about http://www.performancebike.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10052_10551_1185873_-1___

Set a fan in front of you. Other wise you'll overheat.,If you were riding outdoors you would have the wind cooling you off
-
Hi Shane, were you using a power meter with this setup? I just purchased this trainer and joined zwift and I get a reading of 300 watts even if I only pedal gently. Any ideas?
-
So Shane, This will change the resistance to match the drafts and climbs? Basically a really inexpensive Wahoo Snap? Thank you
