Even a 700 x 40 (aka 29er) will fit the same wheel. The difference is width. For example a 700 x 28 tire is narrower than a 700 x 38. If you want to go faster, select a narrow tire with a smooth or semi-slick tread. YouTube's how-to guru of bicycle repair adds a cautionary note: A 700c road bike tire will be too narrow for your hybrid rim. A 700 x 25 tire will have a difficult time staying seated, as well 700 x 23 and 700 x 18. This video is many years old AND EVERYTHING YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT ROLLING RESISTANCE IS WRONG. Please google about why some wider tires have less rolling resistance.

My old tires had a strong central ridge and were faster than my normal tread tires. 1 minute over 9 miles.

I've got a Cannondale Adventure 2 and I need to replace the wheels/tires as it was previously owned by a rental company (Got the bike gifted to me). The bike comes with a 700x38c combo. My question is: Can I put a 40c trie on this bike without issue? -

I need a new tube for my 700c Hyper spinfit hybrid bike, but I got a little bit confused. The tire side shows this number 700x35C 37-622 (28x13/8x15/8), but I dont know what tube size do I need to buy?

Love all you videos man! A couple quick questions... if I go from a 700 x 38 down to 700 x 32 must I change the tube? And if I keep my rear at 700x 32 and the front at 700 x 38 is there a danger there? Thanks as always.
